Getting Started With Our Programs is Just a Phone Call Away
I started coming to The Literacy Council in January 2008. I needed my GED and I haven’t been in school for thirty five years. I walked in The Literacy Council and met with Bobbi. She introduced me to Jane who found my tutor, Laura. I meet with Laura twice a week. Because of the resources that the program provides, I passed four out of five tests for the GED. The staff is compassionate. They are very caring which really helped me achieve my goals. When I first started, I hated to read. Now I love to read and I read every day!
A staff member will ask you a few questions and will schedule an appointment for a personal interview, basic skills and goal assessment. The results will determine your placement in one of our educational programs. We will support you with one-to-one, small group, classroom, computer-assisted and/or distance learning. Get started now!
